Abstract
Selective IgM deficiency an immunological defect that has been found to be more common than originally thought. It is associated with recurrent infections, atopic manifestations, autoimmune diseases, and malignancies. Immunoglobulin replacement therapy is the treatment of choice for patients with recurrent infections and associated presence of specific antibody deficiencies.
